Arlington, VA - September 5, 2011 - Program residents of Fellowship Health Resources, Inc. (FHR) in Virginia gathered at one of the Intensive Community Residential Treatment (ICRT) group homes for a home cooked meal and outdoor games at their FHR Labor Day picnic.

Despite forecast warnings for massive rain fall, the weather cooperated long enough for members to enjoy the majority of the day outdoors. The rain started at the end of the picnic and continued on for the next couple days.

Over two dozen clients from both the ICRT and Independent Supported Living Services (ISLS) programs attended the picnic. Adrienne Randall, the ISLS Program Director, and Sarah James, ICRT staff, prepared a home cooked meal for everyone to enjoy.  Clients feasted on pulled pork sandwiches, hotdogs, coleslaw, pasta salad, brownies, and cherry cobbler.

Residents took advantage of the volleyball and badminton nets set up in the backyard and enjoyed playing friendly games. Others spent time socializing and playing Frisbee, lacrosse, and bean bag toss games.

Everyone looks forward to more communal events with other programs in the future. For more information about upcoming events in Virginia, contact Larry Ferguson at 703-979-5077.
