The Community Clubhouse provides a daily activity environment that utilizes peer support to help members develop and maintain a personal support system. This rehabilitative environment provides for access to vocational and social opportunities, as well as promoting independent living experiences. The idea of membership to a club conveys respect for the self-determination and autonomy of members and their right to make decisions about their lives.
GOALS FOR MEMBERS:
Members should regain the skills and confidence necessary to participate as full citizens in their community.
ELIGIBILITY FOR MEMBERSHIP:
Voluntary and without time limits. Open to anyone with a history of mental illness.
ACCESS:
All members have equal access to every Clubhouse opportunity with no differentiation based upon diagnosis or level of functioning.
