Something’s Fishy at Cary Clubhouse

On January 8, Cary Clubhouse members attended the Southern Boat and Fishing Expo at the State Fairgrounds. This is Case Manager Ray Cowan’s second year coordinating the activity. Participants got the chance to test their angling skills in the trout pond and keep their catch if they wanted.

Cary Clubhouse had three members keep their catch and bring the fish back to the clubhouse. An experienced angler, Ray instructed the Clubhouse members in the correct way to clean and fillet trout. He then talked about the best ways to cook this kind of fish, and let the members take a turn at cooking up some trout.

Everyone got a taste and all agreed that this was a delicious and unique activity that they look forward to enjoying again next year.
