Cary Clubhouse Art on Display

cat

Fellowship Health Resources’ Cary Clubhouse in North Carolina has been working with Second Chance Animal Rescue, a no-kill animal shelter located in Wake County, for about a year.  Once a month, Clubhouse members go to the rescue to help care for the cats.  With the recent downturn in the economy, the shelter has been overwhelmed with cats, both from people having to surrender the pets and from a decrease in adoptions.
Cary Clubhouse decided to help out by taking pictures of adult cats available for adoption.  The photography helped them not only work on their skills as photographers, but also helped to continue to support Second Chance Animal Rescue. The group edited the photographs and prepared them for printing.  After being printed, the photos were framed and then readied for hanging. Having worked with Chatham Street Café in the past, the Clubhouse approached the Café about displaying our photography and putting up information about Second Chance Animal Rescue. Chatham Street Café has been extremely supportive of our consumers’ art work, hanging artwork in their Café, as well as selling it.

The Café received many positive remarks about our cat photography and Cary Clubhouse hopes that this encouraged people to consider adopting an adult cat with Second Chance Animal Rescue. We look forward to our next art display at Chatham Street Café!
