FHR hires new Professional Development Trainer at Taton Learning Institute

Debbie Palumbo returns to Fellowship Health Resources, Inc. as the new Professional Development Trainer for the Northeast

Lincoln, RI – July 15, 2011 – Fellowship Health Resources, Inc. (FHR) welcomes back Debbie Palumbo as a member of the educational branch, the David L. Taton Learning Institute (TLI), after most recently working in the Health and Human Services department at Bristol Community College.

Palumbo previously worked in a variety of positions at FHR from 1990-1998, in the Fall River, New Bedford, and Rhode Island regions. Her new position as a Professional Development Trainer will overlap with these regions, as well as the other regions in the Northeast.

“I’m really excited to become a part of FHR again and to have the opportunity to travel to the different programs. I’ll be working in agency training for TLI so I’ll work with a lot of staff members,” Palumbo says. “It’s nice to see familiar faces in a challenging new position.”

Palumbo has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Wheaton College and received her Master’s in Clinical Health Counseling from Leslie University. She brings over 20 years of experience in mental health counseling to FHR.

“I’m really looking forward to working with Debbie and I’m excited about all of the experience that she brings back to us at FHR,” says Director of TLI Susan Logan. “She already understands the mission of FHR, she’s practiced as a licensed mental health counselor, and she’s worked in a college setting as part of the educational community."

Training staff members in suicide prevention and intervention, and presenting documentation guidelines and FHR PRISM Modules will be some of Palumbo’s responsibilities as the Professional Development Trainer for the Northeast. As a resident of Derry, NH, she will work in Rhode Island during the working weeks.
