FRN PRISMmodel Kick-Off Celebration

Fall River Network (FRN) is pleased to report that it has completed the PRISMmodel Kick-Off Celebration! The foundation for our treatment process at Fellowship Health Resources, the PRISMmodel is a cognitive conceptual model of treatment that is person-centered, respectful, individualized, strengths-based, and mission-driven.
Established in 2005, the PRISMmodel concept was conceived through focus groups in which many of our current employees were a part of. The groups reviewed actual case studies and discussed ways to provide the best possible treatment and support to the people we serve. It was through a wide range of experiences and education levels of the focus group members that led to the data necessary to support their ideas, eventually becoming what we now call the FHR PRISMmodel.
With the release of the third and final PRISM Module, Treatment Planning, late last year, PRISMmodel training became mandatory for all FHR employees. Adjunct faculty training, led by the FHR’s Taton Learning Institute Professional Development Program Managers, Susan Logan and Lois Cortese, took place in each region. These “Train-the-Trainer” sessions began in January 2010.
The employee trainings that followed served to enhance Fellowship’s mission and guiding vision through each of the three PRISM Module booklets: Engagement, Assessment, and Treatment Planning. Each employee who completed the two-session training program received a copy of the three Module booklets, a souvenir ‘sun-catcher’ prism to hang in their window, and will later receive a Certificate of Completion from FHR Administration. In addition, the FRN staff now has a clear understanding of the meaning of our PRISMmodel and how to apply it to its everyday support system.
