Fellowship Health Resources’ Fall River Network recently combined efforts with Corrigan Mental Health Center (DMH) to emphasize the importance of exercising. In this ninth annual event, staff and the persons served participated in a Relay Race at Bristol Community College to encourage physical activity. Individuals learned the importance of keeping fit with support from their staff and peers. Participants were cheered on as they passed the baton to their fellow team members on this sunny fall day. Fall River Network won the relay over DMH and received a trophy of recognition.
Fall River Network promotes other aspects of healthy living on a daily basis through nutrition education, walking, cooking, and making healthy food choices. Whether living in our group living environment or within the community, our persons served grocery shop with staff weekly and apply what they learned in the prior groups. Fellowship Health Resources’ and Fall River Network remains committed to improving the health of our persons served and increasing their knowledge for long, wholesome lives.
