Mission:

·     The Mission of the David L. Taton Learning Institute (TLI) is to provide exemplary workforce learning opportunities for the advancement of behavioral health research, the promotion of scholarship, and the strengthening of services for the care of individuals with mental illness, addictive disorders, and other life challenges.

Purpose:

·     The Fellowship has initiated the David L. Taton Learning Institute in order to strengthen and support the behavioral health and social service workforce, so that it more aptly and ably fulfills its charge to help individuals recover and enjoy satisfying lives.

Goals:

·     In human service settings, focused attention must also be directed toward the application of evidenced-based and emerging treatments so that the clients we serve benefit from treatment methods with proven effectiveness. The Taton Learning Institute will seek to continually offer a wide array of learning opportunities designed to strengthen education, skill development, and supervision, in order to sufficiently equip the workforce to deploy such treatments.

·     Today's workplace requires the use of new technologies, processes, practice, skills, and knowledge. In order to address these needs, the Taton Learning Institute will offer regular opportunities for learning that seek to explore and clarify the complexities related to effective leadership in today’s world.

Collaboration:

·     The David L. Taton Learning Institute is pleased to be joining forces with a diverse group of educators, from a variety of workforce development organizations and institutes of higher learning, in the development and delivery of its curricula.  The Taton Learning Institute’s collaboration with these esteemed venues of higher education enables it to offer its students a unique opportunity to choose a course of study from a diverse syllabus, taught by seasoned professionals in an intimate environment equipped with the latest technological equipment.

·     CEUs for courses taken at TLI are available through the National Association of Social Workers.

Dedication:

·     This Institute is named in honor and memory of  David Taton, Board member, benefactor, and trusted friend of Fellowship Health Resources whose spirit lives on in this Institute’s pursuit of excellence.



Fellowship Health Resources, Inc. has been accredited by CARF for the following behavioral health programs: Assertive Community Treatment, Case Management/Services Coordination, Community Housing, Community Integration: Addictions & AOD/Mental Health, Crisis Stabilization, Outpatient Treatment, and Supported Living.
